Apply - RMEF VETERANS HUNT 2024

Hunting excursion on private property outside of Preston, Idaho with a mentor for a cow elk. Lodging in a canvas tent with a cot is provided by VetCREW. Veteran to provide sleeping bag and all personal clothing appropriate for varied weather including cold and snow. Food at the camp will be provided by VetCREW and our partners at Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF). Veteran must have an Idaho hunting license and be able to obtain a tag for an elk. Veteran must be able to traverse at least one mile of mountainous terrain. Please note that the selection committee most relies on the narrative question about why you would benefit from the hunt in making their decisions, so please be thoughtful with you answer. A pre-camp dinner will be held for selected Veterans, alternates, prior hunters, and their families on July 27, 2024 in Boise. Hunt dates are in the week of November 4th and 11th, 2024. ALL VETCREW EVENTS ARE ALCOHOL-FREE. IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO GO WITHOUT ALCOHOL FOR THE DURATION OF THE HUNT, PLEASE DO NOT APPLY.
